Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech 2 for a full-time night shift (Mon–Fri 10:00pm–6:30am) with every other weekend. Join our team to decontaminate, assemble and sterilize instruments and maintain sterile supply to customers.

You will take a leadership role within the department, ensure instrument sterility, and may perform additional duties as assigned. Inova offers competitive benefits and a path for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification required; certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD acceptable.
• One year Sterile Processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Assembles instrumentation accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures sterility of all processed items.
• Maintains instruments inventory and ensures timely distribution of instruments to customers.
• Prioritizes instruments and assembles complex trays.
• Assumes a leadership role within the department.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Sterile Processing is looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech 2 to join the Team. This full-time role will be night-shift working Monday – Friday and every other weekend from 10:00pm – 6:30am located in Fairfax, VA.

The Sterile Processing Tech 2 decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner. Assembles instrumentation accurately and efficiently. Ensures sterility of all processed items. Maintains instruments inventory and ensures timely distribution of instruments to all customers. Prioritizes instruments and assembles complex trays. Assumes a leadership role within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician Upon Start CRCST or CBSPD certification; Certification from The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
• Experience:One year Sterile Processing experience required.
