Job summary

Resolute Health Hospital in Texas is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean and sterilize equipment, instruments and supplies. You will assemble and maintain inventories of surgical and floor trays and complete established competencies during the introductory period.

Minimum education is a High School Graduate or equivalent, with experience in sterile processing or surgical tech preferred. Certification CSPDT or CRCST must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

• Experience in sterile processing or as a surgical technician preferred.
• Must obtain CSPDT or CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician decontaminates, cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments and supplies. Assembles and maintains inventories of surgical and floor trays. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent

Preferred Education:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Experience in sterile processing or as a surgical technician

Preferred Experience:

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

• Must obtain within 18 months from date of hire or transfer into position either:
• Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the Certification Board of Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD) or,
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
