Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an evening-shift, full-time Sterile Processing Technician to handle decontamination, correct assembly, and sterile processing of all instruments for the operating room and ambulatory clinics.

You will adhere to regulatory standards, execute quality checks, and document sterilization steps to ensure patient safety and readiness of equipment throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards for universal precautions, sterilization methodologies, and regulatory standards for biological monitoring.
• National Certification in Sterile Processing or equivalent.
• One year of previous job-related experience in Central Supply and/or Sterile Processing in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, correct assembly, and sterile processing of all instruments used in the operating room and ambulatory/specialty clinics.
• Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Education
