Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Team Leader for the Processing Second Shift in Winchester, VA. You will supervise sterile processing staff, assign duties, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Strong communication and mentoring are essential to support OR schedules and instrument readiness. The role requires high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and CRCST; experience with IUSS, sterilizers, and decontamination processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification: BLS (Healthcare Provider) - AHA approved; CRCST required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to lead and mentor team; ability to delegate; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Processing team on Second Shift.
• Delegate tasks and ensure efficient instrument processing and decontamination.
• Ensure accurate documentation and safety protocols, including PPE use.
• Coordinate with Surgical Services, Biomed and Facilities to meet instrument needs.
• Maintain sterilization equipment logs and support quality improvement.
