Job summary

The role provides direct supervision of Medical Supply Technicians and Lead Medical Supply Technicians, overseeing decontamination, preparation, sterilization, monitoring and distribution of RME. The incumbent directs staff, schedules work, conducts performance evaluations, and participates in recruitment.

Qualifications

• Basic English proficiency for spoken and written communication.
• Experience supervising Medical Supply Technicians or similar staff.
• Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization and inventory control.
• Ability to plan, assign, and evaluate work and training needs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign tasks to ensure coverage of all duties.
• Monitor quality, accuracy and timeliness of work produced.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and ensure safety standards.
• Provide orientation and training on department rules and VA mandates.
• Manage employee time, attendance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Oversee recruitment, interviews and selections when required.
