Description: This position is for Sterile Processing Technician on weekend night shifts. The shift is 3x12-hour shifts from Thursday to Saturday, 18:00 to 06:30. The types of cases required include trauma, cardiac, neuro, ortho, ENT, vascular, transplant, and robotics. The average daily tray volume is approximately 700. There are 72 operating rooms. Travelers with trauma level I experience and at least 2 years of experience will be considered. Weekend availability is required as this is a weekend position. A national certification is required: either CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA. BLS is not required for this position. Familiarity with CensiTrac instrument tracking is strongly preferred. Preference will be given to those who have experience with Belimed washers and sterilizers. On-call requirements do not exist for this position. The technician may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Floating to sister facilities will not be required. Block scheduling accommodations are not available. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. No more than 7 days of time off within the 13-week contract is allowed. Excessive attendance issues, defined as 2 or more absences or tardies, will not be tolerated. Please note that the use of earbuds or cellphones while on shift is not permitted. The facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 1259 staffed beds. All surgical services are included in the role. We desire an individual with at least 2 years of experience, certification, and CensiTrac use. This position may have opportunities to work on holidays.
