Job summary

Qualifications

• Trauma Level I experience is required.

• Must be willing to float to nearby hospitals.
• Background and compliance with hospital policy required.
• Must work two major holidays.
• Experience with Sterile Processing equipment and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage sterile processing for trauma and complex cases.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor cycles.
• Prepare and decontaminate instruments and trays.
• Support OR with timely tray turnover.
• Float between hospital sites as needed.

Description:

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Daily average surgical case volume is 65.There are 35 surgical rooms.Average daily tray volume is 393.Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is required.Specializing in total joints, neuro spine, neuro craniotomies, open heart, lung and heart transplants, DaVinci, plastics, and ENT.Preferred equipment experience includes Censitrac, Gentinge/Steris sterilization equipment, and decontamination equipment.Candidate must have travel experience.Skill set should include the following:

• Acute Client Operating Room
• Biological indicators

• Sterilization wrapping proceduresCandidate must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as required.Two supervisor references are required.Candidate must work two out of three major holidays.Candidate must have certifications in hand prior to start date.Compliance with background policy must be noted prior to submission.Any permanent or PRN employee must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.Current or past travelers are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility.This break must be taken in one consecutive period.
