Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to join our sterile processing department. The role focuses on assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments used in orthopedic, spine, robotic, general, urology, gynecology, and ENT cases.

The position requires 1 year SPD experience, operates four 10-hour evening shifts (1300-2330), with on-call every 7-8 weeks totaling 48 hours (Sat/Sun). Certification: BLS, CBSPD, CRCST preferred; EPIC charting used; uniform blue; on-site

Qualifications

• 1 year of SPD experience, using ultrasonic, decon, assembly and VPRO.
• Familiar with cases such as orthopedic, spine, robotic, general, urology, gynecology and ENT.
• Experience with common OR instrumentation is required.
• On-call availability every 7-8 weeks; total 48 hours (Sat 24h, Sun 24h).
• Shifts: four 10-hour evening shifts, 1300–2330.
• Uniform color is blue; EPIC is used for charting.

Responsibilities

• Work in the sterile processing department handling decontamination, assembly and sterilization.
• Maintain instrument integrity and traceability.
• Support OR with timely instrument turnaround.

Description:The role involves working in the sterile processing department.Duties include assembly, decontamination, and sterilization.Familiarity with common cases such as orthopedic, spine, robotic, general, urology, gynecology, and ENT is required.Experience with typical OR instrumentation is essential.The position requires availability for call every 7-8 weeks, with a total of 48 hours on call (24 hours on Saturday and 24 hours on Sunday).Shifts consist of four 10-hour evening shifts from 1300 to 2330.Self-scheduling is permitted for shifts.Call response time is expected to be 30 minutes.Uniform color is blue (ceil).Unit-specific orientation will be provided for new staff.There is a cancellation policy allowing the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.The charting system used is EPIC.
