Job summary

Parkview Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the cleanliness, sterilization, and correct assembly of surgical instruments across our facilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Under the supervision of the department manager, you will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instrument sets for the operating room and patient care areas.

A high school diploma or GED is required; completion of a sterile processing certification is preferred, and CRCST certification must be

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Sterile Processing Certification program preferred.
• CRCST certification within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical instrument sets.
• Operates autoclaves and other sterilization equipment per IFUs.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality, reporting issues.
• Tracks inventory and maintains sterilization records for traceability.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Maintains strong attention to detail and effective communication.
