Instrumentum is an innovative provider of off‑site surgical instrument sterilization, transportation, storage, and loaner tray logistics for health systems and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). We are expanding our national footprint to meet rising demands for elective surgeries and streamline sterile processing services.

Why Is This Important?

Sterilization Processing Departments (SPDs) are critical yet often overlooked. Staffing shortages, poorly maintained facilities, and non‑compliance with safety standards increase costs and pose risks. We focus on empowering SPD workers, who are essential to maintaining patient and staff safety.

What We Need

We’re looking for a Sterile Processing Production Technician who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment where quality and communication are key.

What You Will Do

Loaner & Consignment Tray Support

• Receive and inspect incoming loaner and consignment trays for accuracy.
• Verify tray contents before and after sterilization according to standards.
• Track trays throughout the sterilization and return cycle with the Production Coordinator and SPD leadership.
• Communicate promptly with vendors and teammates to maintain schedule.

Production Workflow & Instrument Flow

• Support daily production flow, prioritize workloads, and meet operational deadlines.
• Identify and report issues or discrepancies related to tray contents, timing, or documentation.
• Maintain organized workspaces and support overall SPD efficiency.

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with the Production Coordinator, SPD leadership, and team members.
• Assist with vendor coordination, delivery confirmations, and documentation.
• Represent Instrumentum’s standards of professionalism, reliability, and excellence.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Record data in tracking systems to ensure traceability of tray movements and sterilization records.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Details

This is an onsite position at our Modesto, California facility. Occasional travel may be necessary to share best practices and meet with vendors or partners. You must fully cooperate with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures and may provide suggestions for improvement.
