Job summary

Atlas-Healthcare-Partners-LLC is hiring a Surgical Instrument Processor to support decontamination, packaging and sterilization of instruments. You will assemble instrument sets, perform repairs as needed and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a national SPD certification or eligibility, with strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current national certification as SPD Technician, Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Surgical Instrument Processor preferred or required for certification.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and reassemble instrument sets.
• Strong organizational, communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, assembles and packages instruments following protocols.
• Maintains clean environment and follows infection control practices and PPE protocols.
• Identifies instruments, repairs or replaces malfunctioning items, and assembles instrument sets.
• Operates sterilization equipment (steam autoclaves, ETO, Gas Plasma) and maintains logs.
• Responds to OR requests, prioritizes instrumentation needs and supports timely OR functions.
