Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to lead the Sterile Processing Department's daily operations, ensuring timely instrument processing and adherence to quality standards. You will partner with surgical services leadership to optimize productivity and budgets.

The role requires a BS or Associate degree in business or healthcare administration, demonstrated leadership, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: B.S. Degree or Associates Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.
• Demonstrated leadership, timekeeping, payroll, or operational improvements experience.
• Strong customer service history and ability to form positive relationships.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork.
• PREFERRED: Masters in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration; two years in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Sterile Processing operations and collaborate with department leadership.
• Monitor productivity and departmental budgets; manage sterile supplies and instrument sets.
• Approve requests for new instrument sets with Coordinator to economize operations while satisfying medical staff.
• Lead systems planning, space planning, and implementation planning for the Sterile Processing Department.
• Rounding on supported departments, staff scheduling, and quality improvement initiatives.
