Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to mentor, train, and schedule staff within the Sterile Processing department. The role focuses on guiding team members, following Standard Precautions, and ensuring efficient, safe sterilization processes.

The position requires leadership experience, deep knowledge of sterilization practices, and the ability to manage schedules and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience involving sterilization of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Minimum of one (1) year of leadership or management experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English language.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems and strategically resolves issues within Sterile Processing Department.
• Trains and acts as a mentor to Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Prepares work schedules, assists manager with performance issues, and gives input to manager on performance evaluations.
• Ensures accurate handling of instruments and equipment including cleanliness, function checks and assembly for sterilization.
