Qualifications

• 1-2 years specialist training in sterile processing.
• National certification in Sterile Processing required.
• Certification in Sterile Supply Management and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing, disciplining, and evaluating team members.
• Maintain records to track instrument orders and maintenance; prepare reports for infection control.
• Assist and ensure proper use of sterilizing and cleaning equipment; assemble instrument trays; maintain sterile technique.
• Order supplies and assist with budget for capital equipment and operating budget.
• Meet with managers and directors; conduct departmental meetings and in-services.
• Model leadership; promote effective decision-making and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and participate in committees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
