Under the general direction of the Lead Sterile Processing Instrument Technician, the Sterile Processing Technician inspects, decontaminates, disinfects, assembles, and sterilizes surgical and patient care reusable instruments and equipment, following BID Needham policies and procedures, including Manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU) and AAMI standards.
Employees must be competent to provide patient care across various age groups, including Neonatal, Youth, Young Adult, Middle Age, and Elderly.
Medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. Requires standing and moving throughout the shift.
