Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Department Educator to lead QA programs, train staff, and ensure compliance with AAMI and JCAHO standards. The role requires advanced knowledge in sterile processing and strong leadership across shifts.

The educator will oversee orientation for technicians, manage the instrument tracking system, and coordinate quality projects to improve perioperative outcomes. Flexible scheduling and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AS or BS degree preferred.
• Graduate of certified sterile processing technician training program.
• CRCST, CHL, CIS required.
• CER to be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sterile Processing & Case Cart QA program.
• Provide staff training and orientation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain instrument tracking and QA data to improve outcomes.
