Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Education and Quality Leader to coordinate education and quality initiatives across three campuses. The role includes planning and delivering training, ensuring professional development, and leading quality improvement projects in sterile processing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in sterile processing with educator or supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of instrumentation and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in the Sterile Processing field.
• Minimum of 2 years in educator, quality, or supervisory responsibility within sterile processing.
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing principles and practices.
• Expert knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, inventory management, and case cart management.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication for documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education and quality for all sterile processing departments.
• Lead orientation and training programs for new hires across campuses.
• Deliver educational programs and in-services for sterile processing staff.
• Develop programs to improve service and product quality.
• Provide QA programs and audits and support staff in sterile processing.
