Job summary

Children’s Mercy in Kansas City is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II - Sterile Preparations to assist in the preparation and distribution of medications with a focus on sterile product preparations. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will use computer programs and various automation to ensure safe, accurate sterile compounding.

The role requires an HS diploma, MO/KS registration, and 6+ months of pharmacy tech experience. Vaccination disclosure applies; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 6+ months experience preparing sterile products.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in MO and KS.
• License/registration required within 90 days of hire (MO/KS) for primary MO/KS location.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Keeps chemo room stocked and clean.
• Sterile compounding and batching of Haz-A compounds.
• Assists in IV doses and compounding as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
