Strive Pharmacy in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Sterile Lab Support Pharmacy Technician to assist day-to-day sterile lab operations and gain hands-on experience in a compounding setting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork to ensure accurate labeling, packing, and documentation for patient-specific medications. Full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Arizona Pharmacy Technician Trainee license or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Able to work efficiently, independently, and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization and time management.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must wear all required protective gear (masks, gloves, lab coats, coveralls, hairnets, safety goggles, shoe covers).
• Must lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the sterile lab by cleaning, calibrating, and wrapping lab beakers and equipment.
• Operate lab equipment including ovens and autoclaves.
• Label vials, restock labs, and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Regularly check inventory for outdated or near-expiry chemicals.
• Perform other laboratory support duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

$21.00 per hour plus $3.00 per hour shift differential

Position Overview

The Sterile Lab Support Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day sterile lab operations and receive exposure to various workflows within our organization. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands‑on experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in a compounding pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sterile lab by cleaning, calibrating, and wrapping lab beakers and equipment
• Utilize specialized lab equipment including ovens and autoclaves
• Label vials, restock labs, and ensure adequate stock levels of laboratory supplies
• Routinely check inventory for outdated or soon‑to‑expire chemicals
• Perform other laboratory support duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Hold an Arizona Pharmacy Technician Trainee license or willing to obtain one prior to starting
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time‑management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be capable of donning and wearing all required protective gear (including masks, gloves, lab coats, coveralls, hairnets, safety goggles, and shoe covers)
• Must be capable of lifting and moving items, including ingredients, weighing up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interest in learning about compounding and the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated professional interaction skills with colleagues and potential customers.
• Proven eye for detail in tasks such as labeling, packaging, and document creation.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in an onsite work environment. The role requires regular periods of sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21 USD - $24 USD
