Job summary

Big Sky IV Care in Kalispell, MT, seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for sterile compounding. You will prepare sterile medications, maintain documentation, and support pharmacists to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and plan to obtain Montana license and CPhT certification. Prior sterile experience is preferred, but training is available.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain Montana Pharmacy Technician License.
• Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) in a reasonable time.
• Previous experience in sterile compounding preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and aseptic technique.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual and a team player.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications per prescriptions, SOPs and law.
• Maintain documentation per USP <797> and <800> regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness and aseptic conditions in sterile areas (cleanroom, laminar flow hoods).
• Accurately measure and mix ingredients using calibrated equipment.
• Package and label finished products with precision.
• Assist in inventory control, ordering, and restocking of supplies.
• Support pharmacists in daily operations and uphold patient care and safety.
