Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a sterile compounding pharmacy technician to join our New Albany, OH facility on the day shift. You will compound sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, follow USP 797 guidelines, and perform daily and monthly tasks in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires Ohio CPhT registration, National Certification, and at least 1 year of compounding experience. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and a culture focused on patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements per Site SOPs and USP 797.
• Compound sterile medications under Pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare components, formulate solutions, and aseptically fill products.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks per facility SOPs.
• Cleanroom support: prep materials, calibration, cleaning and sterilization.
• Document all compounding activities per USP 797 and SOPs.
• Communicate with pharmacists and report lab issues.
• Operate equipment as directed by the pharmacist.

About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic and dependable sterile compounding pharmacy technician. As part of the pharmacy team , you will use your knowledge of USP 797 to compound medications that are safe and effective for patients, under Pharmacist supervision.

This role is based onsite at our New Albany, Ohio facility. We are currently hiring for the following day shift.

• 6:00am-6:30pm, rotating 2-2-3-2 schedule

You Will:

• Adhere to the safety and environment procures as outlined in the Site SOPs and wear appropriate PPE while executing daily tasks.

• Compound sterile medications.

• Perform the component preparation, the formulation of the solutions, perform the aseptic filling of the solutions and/or inspection and packaging of filled units

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities according to facility SOP’s.

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleanroom suite support responsibilities including, but not limited to compounding materials and supplies preparation, equipment calibration, cleaning, dishwashing, and sterilization or depyrogenation of equipment, according to facility SOP’s.

• Document compounding-related and daily, weekly, and monthly activities according to facility SOPs and as required by USP 797.

• Communicate with pharmacists and report on issues in the lab.

• Utilizes equipment as instructed by the pharmacist.

• Completes training as required by USP 797

You Have:

• Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and National Certification (CPhT)

• Strong communication skills and can work independently.

• Full time role 40 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year compounding experience (nonsterile or sterile)

• Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®)

Conditions of Employment:

• This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.

• This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

• Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

• Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
