Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our closed-door facility in Ohio. The role focuses on non-sterile compounding, adherence to USP <795> and <800>, and maintaining a compliant, safe work environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician license, has 1+ year of experience, and can work across a multi-shift front/back half and donut schedule. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Active registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; hospital or compounding setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with USP <795> and USP <800> standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain non-sterile compounding equipment and designated workspaces.
  • Assist with staging raw materials and managing non-sterile compounding inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in site-specific training, ongoing competency assessments, and annual revalidation.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including batch records and ingredient logs.
  • Follow USP <795> and <800> requirements and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Compound non-sterile medications (tablets, solutions, suspensions, gummies) following prescription orders and SOPs.

About The Role:
Shift:
  • Front Half, Day Shift: Sunday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Back Half, Day Shift: Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Donut, Day Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician with Hims, you’ll serve as an integral part of the Hims Dispense & Fill pharmacy team. You will work in our closed-door, modern pharmacy facility, focusing on:

  • compounding non-sterile medications, including topicals (creams/lotions), tablets, gummies, etc.

  • adherence to USP <795> and USP <800> requirements

  • maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

This role plays a pivotal part in delivering safe, high-quality medications to our patients, and promotes impactful pharmaceutical services for our patients.

This role requires current registration + active license with the state of OH as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Certified Pharmacy Technician Pay Rate: $30/hr

In This Role, You Will:

  • Follow USP <795> and <800> requirements and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

  • Compound non-sterile medications (tablets, solutions, suspensions, gummy formulations, etc.) following prescription orders and site SOPs upon completion of certification.

You Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Active registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio.

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; prior experience in hospital or compounding settings preferred.

  • Familiarity with USP <795> and <800> standards and non-sterile compounding processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, documentation, and record-keeping.

  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance in a regulated environment.

  • Organized, dependable, and collaborative team player.

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.

  • This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

  • Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
