Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Pharmacy Technician Association certification preferred; must be completed within twelve months.
• Laboratory or healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Process patient orders from physicians and verify accuracy with the pharmacist.
• Enter prescriptions and confirm correct drugs and quantities are prepared.
• Maintain clean-room areas and ensure USP compliance and safety guidelines.
• Assist with training and feedback for new staff and support inventory control.
