Synectics Inc. is seeking a motivated Pharmacist to support daily operations at a correctional healthcare facility in Lake Butler, Florida. Candidates with sterile compounding experience, particularly chemotherapy medications, are preferred.

Experienced pharmacists without sterile compounding experience may also be considered if they have a strong willingness to learn. The role offers full-time hours, relocation assistance is available, and a competitive compensation package based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders and prescriptions.
• Ensure dosing accuracy, interactions, allergies, and safety.
• Prepare and verify sterile compounded preparations as required.
• Maintain compliance with USP 797/800, DEA, OSHA, and state regs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and support daily operations.
• Assist with QA, audits, inventory, and controlled substances.
• Support policies, training, and daily workflow.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations at a correctional healthcare facility in Lake Butler, Florida. Candidates with sterile compounding experience, particularly chemotherapy medications, are preferred. Experienced pharmacists without sterile compounding experience may also be considered if they have a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, verify, and process medication orders and prescriptions.
• Ensure appropriate dosing, drug interactions, allergies, compatibility, and medication safety.
• Perform and verify sterile compounded preparations as required.
• Maintain compliance with USP 797, USP 800, DEA, OSHA, and applicable state pharmacy regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff and technicians.
• Assist with quality assurance, audits, inventory management, and controlled substance monitoring.
• Support pharmacy policies, procedures, staff training, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Legally authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of sterile compounding experience, especially with chemotherapy medications.
• Alternative: 5-10 years of pharmacist experience and a strong willingness to learn sterile compounding.
• Hospital, oncology infusion, home infusion, or hazardous medication handling experience is a plus.
• Previous pharmacy leadership or management experience is preferred.
• Updated, professional resume highlighting relevant pharmacy experience.
