Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Arcadia is seeking a clinically competent registered nurse to join our Stepdown Unit on a full-time night shift (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM). This union, non-exempt position delivers high-quality care to acutely ill medical/surgical patients and maternal child health cases as needed.

The RN utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and demonstrates communication skills to support patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree Nursing; Graduate of nursing program.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year Acute care experience.
• Preferred Education: BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic care to acutely ill patients on medical/surgical units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient satisfaction and a positive work environment.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
