Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking an Registered Nurse to provide safe, quality patient care using the nursing process. The role emphasizes leadership, effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The RN will prioritize, delegate, and evaluate assignments, educate patients and families, and participate in preceptor training for new staff while maintaining competency with ongoing education and NMHS policies.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• Provide safe, quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Demonstrate leadership in prioritizing, delegating and evaluating care.
• Adhere to NMHS policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and document accordingly.
• Maintain compliance with NMHS policies as directed by Nurse Manager and Educator.
• Provide patient/family education and act as a resource for staff.
• Participate in the Preceptor class to train new employees.
• Maintain communication with multidisciplinary team for holistic care.
• Attend daily unit huddles to review assignments and staffing.
• Project a caring, friendly image to patients and customers.
• Maintain competency by staying informed of evolving nursing practices.
• Comply with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
