Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at a competent level using the nursing process. The role requires interaction with the health care team to achieve safe, effective outcomes in a hospital setting.

Minimum education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s preferred; active RN licensure in SC or a compact state and BLS (ACLS for most areas) are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS also required for most nursing areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care.
• Interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
