Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care in a competent nursing capacity, applying the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and SC nursing licensure or compact state, with BLS and ACLS commonly required across hospital areas. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• South Carolina Board of Nursing licensure or compact state licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS also required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, effective care and interact with other health care team members to achieve desired results.
