Job summary

Learn It Systems is seeking a tutor for the New York City area for the 26/27 school year. You will join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality reading, math and writing support to students in a small group or one-on-one setting within a school building.

The role requires teaching or tutoring experience, DOE fingerprinting, and completion of mandatory trainings. Bilingual ability is preferred, with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and navigate stairs.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree.
• Fingerprinting by Department of Education required.
• Completion of SAVE School and Child Abuse Workshop required; Prior Completion a Plus and if not then can be provided.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Work location is in a school building with stairs.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in reading, mathematics and/or writing in small group or one-on-one settings.
• Assist classroom teacher and educational team during school-based programs.
• Deliver in-school tutoring for grades K–8, supporting students who need extra help.

Responsibilities

Learn It Systems is looking for a tutor. We currently have an opening in New York City for the 26/27 school year. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.

In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a fellow educators, Program Aide, and Area Manager. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality education services in reading, mathematics and/or writing to students in a small group/ one on one learning environment. As a tutor you will be assisting the classroom teacher with working with students that need additional support in the classroom. As a Learn It System tutor, you'll need to have experience teaching or tutoring. The programs will be held in-school, tutoring reading and math for grade levels ranging from K to 8th.

Qualifications

• Associates degree
• Teaching assistant or experience working with students
• Fingerprinting by Department of Education required
