Job summary

ExxonMobil offers summer internships and fall/spring co-op opportunities for students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in STEM. You'll gain hands-on, real-world experience at sites across the United States, starting day one on meaningful projects that develop technical and professional skills.

Our program emphasizes mentorship, networking, and exposure to engineers and scientists across the organization, with potential for future full-time roles through the Early Career Foundation.

What You Will Do

You'll work within one of our organizations for the duration of your internship, contributing to projects that drive real results and add value to the business. Your assignments could include mechanical integrity, process engineering, process control, product development, project management, quality control, modeling and optimization, reservoir engineering, supply chain, and more—depending on your placement and business needs. You'll also gain exposure to the day-to-day work of full-time engineers and scientists, giving you a true sense of what a career at ExxonMobil looks like.

Beyond your project work, you'll have the chance to tour facilities, learn from senior leaders, and connect with experienced professionals across the organization. We also host social events that give you the chance to build relationships with your cohort, recent graduates, and leaders across ExxonMobil.

Compensation

Individual pay will be determined based on various factors including degree/education, discipline, skills, abilities, qualifications, and work experience.

Pursuant to the Illinois Equal Pay, for Illinois employment, the expected annual salary range for this position is $50,000 – $135,000 base salary ($/year).
