Maine Mathematics & Science Alliance (MMSA) in Augusta, ME, seeks a STEM Education Specialist - Mathematics. This part-time, per-diem, non-exempt role supports grades 6-12 math educators through high-quality professional learning, coaching, and curriculum implementation.
The position is hybrid with travel across Maine and up to 20 hours per week. Compensation is $50/hour with travel expenses covered and remote-friendly collaboration.

MMSA seeks a STEM Education Specialist - Mathematics who will be an integral team member and serve as an organizational representative in math-focused education initiatives. This position will add capacity to MMSA's School Support Consulting team to design and facilitate high-quality professional learning experiences that support educators and administrators in integrating high-quality math learning experiences throughout the preK-12 experience, with a focus on grades 6-12. The right candidate will have the opportunity to deepen and share their skills in mathematics education methods, program development, and best practices in professional learning for math instruction and assessment to move Maine STEM education practice forward.
This is a per diem position with hours that fluctuate based on school partner and organizational demand, up to 20 hours per week.
Regular travel throughout Maine is required, including occasional overnight travel. Travel expenses are paid by MMSA. This position may work from home for part of their time, as desired.
