Job Purposes : :

The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks highly motivated and effective high school teachers to join an existing school faculty and staff for the 2023-2024 school year. Seeking candidates in the following content areas : science, mathematics, language arts, and social studies. The curriculum will include collaboratively designed project-based learning units that connect to multiple disciplines and / or real-life issues.

Required Qualifications : :

  • Bachelor's degree by August 1, 2023
  • High School teaching license or alternative license by August 1, 2023
  • Outstanding communication and collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications : :

  • Ability to integrate technology into the classroom
  • Experience working with high school students
  • Credentialed to teach college level courses
  • Master's degree or master's level coursework completed
  • Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching experience
  • Experience with collaboration and cross-curricular integration
  • Essential Functions and percent of time : :

  • Plan and deliver course instruction for high school students – 75%
  • Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for courses – 20%
  • Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5%
  • Working Conditions : :

    This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.
