Job summary

NORY in NYC and Boston is seeking a Maker Education Fabricator to design and build hands-on STEM camp projects for children aged 3–12, focusing on prototyping, engineering, and experience design.

You will collaborate with teachers, create thematic, immersive projects, and mentor staff to deliver engaging curricula across campuses. Portfolios of maker work are required; proficiency with electronics, 3D printing, and microcontrollers is valued; part-time seasonal schedule with bi-weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of maker projects demonstrating prototyping and fabrication work for children 3–12.
• Experience designing hands-on STEM activities and experience design.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts through video formats and teacher training.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and fabricate hands-on STEM camp projects (robotics, engineering, woodworking) for ages 3–12.
• Create interdisciplinary learning experiences across STEM and related domains.
• Develop immersive, theme-park-like worlds to enhance educational impact.
• Train teachers to safely use tools and projects; provide clear guidance across campuses.
