Job description

We are looking for a qualified teacher to support the mission of Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys by ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction aligned with the school's vision. The role involves teaching various subjects such as ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arts, or PE/Health, and synthesizing rigorous curriculum with the Statesmen Strategy to create an engaging academic experience.

The ideal candidate is a learning-oriented and inspirational teacher passionate about impacting the academic growth of underserved students. They should have an advanced degree and a proven track record of fostering academic success in students with significant potential and limited prior achievement.

Responsibilities
  • Build and leverage strong relationships to support student outcomes.
  • Create lesson plans aligned with established curriculum models.
  • Deliver engaging, rigorous, standards-aligned instruction tailored to students’ proficiency levels.
  • Coordinate with parents and hold regular meetings to discuss student progress.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Participate in school meetings related to curriculum and guidelines.
  • Monitor and assess students’ performance and abilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of teaching practices and educational standards aligned with Common Core State Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a qualified exemption.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (Statesmen does not sponsor employment visas).
