Job summary

Yeshiva Elementary School in Miami Beach is seeking a STEM Teacher for grades 1–8 for the 2025–2026 school year. The role is full-time, on-campus, starting August 2025, in a warm Jewish day school community.

You'll design hands-on, inquiry-based STEM experiences, use robotics, coding, and digital tools, and collaborate with teachers to enrich general studies with STEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or STEM field.
• K–8 teaching experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with project-based learning, coding and emerging tech.

Responsibilities

• Teach STEM lessons to elementary and middle school students.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate STEM into general studies.
• Develop hands-on projects, makerspace activities and labs.

Position: STEM Teacher (Grades 1–8)

What You’ll Do:

• Teach engaging, age‑appropriate STEM lessons to students in elementary and middle school

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate STEM into general studies curricula

• Develop and facilitate hands‑on projects, makerspace activities, and inquiry‑based labs

• Use tools like robotics kits, coding platforms, digital microscopes, and design software to bring STEM to life

• Inspire a love of problem‑solving, critical thinking, and innovation

• Contribute to school‑wide STEM initiatives, and fairs

• Support students of diverse academic levels with differentiated instruction

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a STEM-related field

• Teaching experience, ideally in a K–8 setting

• Familiarity with project‑based learning, coding, and emerging technologies

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Collaborative spirit and a growth mindset

• Enthusiasm for Jewish day school education (Jewish background not required)
