Job summary

STARBASE Wright-Patt/ Beavercreek City Schools seeks an energetic Instructor to deliver the DoD STARBASE STEM curriculum to 5th-grade students, working with the STARBASE Wright-Patt Director, Deputy Director and other Program Instructors. This is an Employee-At-Will position contingent upon DoD funding.

Responsibilities include direct instruction, classroom management, building rapport with students and staff, leading summer camps, and participating in community outreach events.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to 5th-grade students with the DoD STARBASE STEM curriculum using a collaborative co-teaching model.
• Manage setup, teardown, and inventory of lesson materials to keep classrooms organized.
• Build rapport with students, visiting teachers, and staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Lead summer camps and develop/instruct sessions for participants as assigned.
• Represent the program by participating in community outreach events such as TechFest or STEM Hoopla Challenge.
