Job summary

Horizon Science Academy New Bedford in Michigan seeks a School Principal to lead instructional and operational excellence, drive student achievement, and foster a safe, inclusive culture. You will coach teachers, align curriculum with MTSS, monitor data, and collaborate with central office and the school board to implement improvement initiatives.

In this role you will ensure compliance with policies, manage school operations, and engage families and community partners to support student success

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or closely related field.
• Michigan School Administrator Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Minimum three years of successful administrative experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success improving student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and monitor curriculum implementation.
• Lead data-driven decision making and MTSS implementation across all grade levels.
• Coach and develop teachers and staff through coaching, PLCs, and performance feedback.
• Ensure school operations are efficient and compliant with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with central office, Superintendent, and School Board to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive, safe, inclusive culture and engage families and community partners.
