Job summary

Hamilton County Schools in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated educator to collaborate with K-12 teachers to design and schedule PBLs and design challenges aligned with standards. The Dalewood Middle School Lab supports about 300 students in grades 6-8 and aims to foster academic excellence and citizenship.

The role includes teaching STEM, creating rubrics and resources, and coordinating with a network of Digital Fabrication Specialists for ongoing professional development.

An Elementary Education endorsement is allowed if working at the elementary level. If you hold a teaching license in another state, you must apply for a Tennessee teaching license.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Assisting teachers by creating rubrics and design thinking materials for projects.
• Facilitate design thinking and digital fabrication concepts with students and community members.
• Safely operate and maintain lab equipment and coordinate stock materials.
• Provide professional development for using digital fabrication and design thinking processes in classrooms.
• For Middle School/High School classes, teach STEM to 6-12 grade students.
• Perform general/clerical tasks as needed.
