Job summary
The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Nursing, seeks a Weekend Option Nights Staff Nurse (RN) for the 3JCP Stem Cell Transplant unit in Iowa City. The role focuses on assessing care needs, evaluating outcomes, and applying nursing theory to practice.
This new 24-bed unit is part of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center and offers a fast-paced oncology environment. A supportive interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive cancer care and encourages professional growth.
Qualifications
- Education must include an RN credential and appropriate nursing degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and multiple databases is expected.
- Current Iowa nursing license is required by date of hire.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' nursing care needs and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
- Integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic oncology care.
