UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty & Research Hospital is seeking an SCTCT Assistant Nurse Manager to partner with the SCTCT nurse manager and oversee a 24-bed inpatient unit. The ANM leads night shift, serves as charge RN for two 12-hour shifts, and two 8-hour administrative shifts to support operations and planning.

The role requires a BSN, RN licensure, BLS, and at least 3 years RN experience with preference for inpatient oncology and charge nurse background.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• RN license required.
• BLS Basic Life Support required.
• BMTCN Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse preferred.
• At least three (3) years of RN experience required.
• At least one (1) year of acute care inpatient RN experience required; two (2) years of acute care inpatient oncology experience highly preferred.
• One (1) year in a charge nurse role preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Directly supervises and evaluates the provision of patient care by other personnel assigned to the unit.
• Performs daily patient rounds and completes random chart audits.
• Assists leadership in accreditation readiness audits to assess compliance with standards.
• Manages staff to meet established productivity targets as appropriate.
• Creates staffing/nursing assignments to meet patient-specific needs on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Coordinates staffing with central staffing office/house supervisor; makes ongoing changes to staffing based on census and patient acuity.
• Coordinates self-scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage for unit needs and maintains attendance records.
• Cultivates staff growth with equal opportunities for participation in unit-based activities and education.
• Provides coaching and follows up with reports to unit manager.
• Assures first-person reporting of safety events and investigates event facts.
• Coordinates discharge planning with care management and physicians to improve discharge efficiency.
• Manages inventory control of equipment and supplies for safe patient care.
• Participates on hospital work groups and performs other duties as assigned.
