Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Lab Associate to perform routine stem cell isolation using automated systems and support Process Development activities. You will prepare media and buffers aseptically and document work in electronic lab notebooks, helping the team with experiments and data.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences with 0–2 years of lab experience; hands-on aseptic technique and cell handling;

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences with 0-2+ years of relevant work or lab experience.

Mansioni

• Perform routine stem cell isolation processes by using automated cell processing system
• Support execution of lab-based Process Development activities and experiments
• Prepare related media and buffers in a sterile aseptic environment
• Generate samples for analytical assays and coordinate with Analytical team to plan timely analysis
• Maintain detailed and organized electronic lab notebook to document lab activities
• Write reports summarizing procedures, experiments, and data
• Present experiment design, data, and updates internally to the team
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineers
