Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Laboratory Supervisor for the Stem Cell (Hematopoietic) Lab. You will oversee daily operations, cryopreservation, and the preparation of bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells for patient treatments.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), NYS DOE Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, ASCP registration desirable, and 4 years bench experience; Miltenyi CliniMacs is a plus. Day shift; Mon-Fri; 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• NYS DOE Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required; ASCP registration desirable.
• 4 years of bench experience as CLT required for supervisor role (2 years may substitute a Master's).
• Experience with Miltenyi CliniMacs instrument is preferred.
• General computer knowledge and software such as Microsoft Office, LIS, ordering software, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Stem Cell lab, including cryopreservation and record review.
• Process cellular therapy per SOP and GMP in compliance with regulations.
• Issue cellular therapies for reinfusion per SOP and GMP.
• Monitor compliance with NYS, OSHA, CAP and other regulatory agencies.
• Educate and train Stem Cell staff on procedures and quality systems.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and quality control programs.
• Assist manager with budget development and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain regulatory recordkeeping and inventory control.
