Job summary

Tri-State Overhead Crane is hiring a skilled Welder & Fabricator to join our Midwest-based team at the St. Louis facility. You will read blueprints, fit components, and weld assemblies using MIG Flux Core to precise standards.

You will also operate metalworking tools, move materials with cranes/hoists, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. A welding degree or certificate plus 3+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Welding experience with MIG Flux Core and basic fabrication skills.
• Technical welding degree or certificate preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine build requirements.
• Fit structural components together from prints.
• Weld assemblies using MIG Flux Core for strong, clean welds.
• Operate metalworking tools (band saws, mag drill, grinders).
• Move materials with cranes/hoists and keep the shop clean and organized.

Become a Welder & Fabricator at Tri-State Overhead Crane!

Tri-State Overhead Crane is looking for a skilled welder and fabricator to join our team. We're a growing business (160 employees, so a good size, not too small and not too corporate) that specializes in material handling equipment fabrication and service across the Midwest. We design and build our overhead cranes onsite at our St. Louis facility. In this role, you'll be using your skills to read blueprints, cut and shape metal, fit components, and weld everything together - focusing on precision to produce quality work.

Here’s a taste of what your workday will be like:

• Reading blueprints like a pro to understand what needs to be built.
• Fitting structural components together from those prints.
• Using your welding skills, MIG is a must (Flux Core) to create strong, clean welds.
• Operating metalworking tools (think band saws, mag drill, grinders, etc.)
• Using cranes and hoists to move and place materials to work on them.
• Plus, we have to keep the shop area clean and organized.

Here’s what you should have:

• A technical welding degree/certificate is great.
• At least 3 years of welding experience, we'll take more if you have it.
• A keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
