Job summary

Snelling, Llc is seeking two Warehouse Associates in Houston, TX to handle steel and other heavy materials. Responsibilities include picking orders, loading/unloading, operating forklifts and cranes, cutting materials, and completing paperwork. Experience with steel processing and material verification is preferred.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role located in Houston. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with opportunities to transfer as needed within the steel service center.

Qualifications

• Experience handling steel and heavy industrial materials.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Able to load/unload from trucks and prepare shipments.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders using pick tickets, verifying material size, grade, quantity, and heat numbers.
• Load and unload trucks and prepare materials for shipment or transfer.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials safely.
• Cut materials for customer orders and stock using saws, shears, ironworkers, and burning tables.
• Verify completed orders and follow customer instructions.
• Complete order paperwork and labels.
