Job Description:

Join a One-of-a-Kind Engineering Team – No Matter Where You're From

We’re expanding our team in Brno, Czech Republic, and we’re looking for new colleagues to join us—whether you're based in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, or elsewhere in Europe. If you have a background in structural

engineering and a good command of English, we’d love to hear from you.

The role is based in Brno.
During the initial onboarding period (especially within the probation period), we expect you to be on-site at least 3 days a week. This helps you get to know the team, our tools, and our workflows. After that, remote work is possible, with

occasional visits to the office based on mutual agreement.

We welcome both junior and senior candidates.
Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, what matters most is your technical background and your willingness to grow.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll contribute to international projects with real-world impact—offshore wind farms, nuclear power plants, oil platforms, and more. Our work reaches across the globe, and you’ll collaborate with colleagues from Switzerland, Sweden, the U.S., India, and beyond.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures
  • Performing static and dynamic calculations in Scia Engineer (Eurocode, AISC, etc.)
  • Designing anchoring systems using Hilti Engineering tools
  • Assessing structural details in IDEA StatiCa
  • Preparing complete fabrication documentation for global projects
  • Collaborating with engineering teams both locally and internationally
  • Contributing to the development of internal tools and workflows
Who We’re Looking For
  • A university or technically skilled high school graduate in civil/structural engineering
  • Someone passionate about steel structures—experience is a plus, but not required
  • A team player with intermediate English skills (you’ll use it daily)
  • A responsible and curious mind who enjoys solving technical challenges
  • Someone who can work independently on projects of various sizes
Why Join Hitachi Energy?
  • A people-first culture built on collaboration, trust, and meaningful work
  • Clear career paths and opportunities for both personal and professional growth
  • A diverse team with both seasoned experts and young professionals
  • The stability of a global company with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability

Our benefits include:

  • 5 weeks of vacation
  • Flexible working hours (7.5-hour workday)
  • Birthday leave
  • Fully covered meal vouchers (CZK 100 per day)
  • Cafeteria system (CZK 7,000 annually)
  • Pension contribution (2–3% of salary)
  • Discounted mobile plans
  • Loyalty bonuses and other benefits under our collective agreement
