Quanex is seeking a Steel Setup Operator for the 2nd shift in Chatsworth, IL. You will set up roll formers and run a quality product according to the setup chart and print, and you must operate a forklift.

Quanexis looking for aSteel Setup Operator to join our 2ndShift teamlocated inChatsworth IL.

The Steel Setup Operator will play a key role in the set-up of all roll formers in the steel department to run a quality product according to the set-up chart & print. This position must operate a forklift.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

What Success Looks Like:

• Using a setup chart, sets up and indicates rolls to run a quality product.
• Programs AMS MP 350’s and AMS XL controllers.
• Loads and unloads coils.
• Threads machine.
• Performs associated paperwork including daily job scrap reporting.
• Operates computer and bar code system.
• Runs and packs product if needed.

What You Bring:

• Proven ability to perform detailed work requiring high levels of concentration.
• Must be able to read and write and interpret production prints.
• Ability to use of the following measuring instruments: dial calipers, micrometers, tape measure, square, & protractor.
• Must work well with others.
• Mechanical ability a plus.
• Must be able to lift, bend and kneel frequently.

The hourly wage for this position is $19.00/hr.
