Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a detail-driven Purchasing Agent, focused on steel, to manage end-to-end procurement for construction and manufacturing projects in Aurora, CO. The role emphasizes sourcing, vendor negotiations, and delivery coordination to keep projects on schedule.

You will evaluate bids, coordinate material deliveries, and analyze pricing trends while maintaining data integrity in ERP systems. This on-site position offers an incentive-based earnings structure and strong growth

Qualifications

Experience in purchasing in construction or manufacturing environments.
Ability to read structural drawings, BOMs, and project schedules.
Proficient with ERP systems (IFS or Vista) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchasing, from requisitions to delivery coordination.
Source materials, equipment, rough-in items, and services with approved vendors.
Obtain competitive bids and negotiate pricing, lead times, rebates, and terms.
Coordinate deliveries to job sites, fabrication shops, yards, and facilities; track back orders.
Support cost control and inventory optimization using pricing and usage data.
Maintain accurate purchase order, vendor, and item master data in systems.
