Job summary

RK Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent - Steel to join its Aurora, CO team on-site. The role focuses on sourcing structural steel, managing purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries to accelerate project timelines.

You’ll analyze pricing, lead times, and supplier performance to balance cost, quality, and schedules. The ideal candidate has a strong background in purchasing within construction or manufacturing, with ERP system experience and exceptional organization and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in ERP systems and vendor negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities from requisitions to delivery coordination.
• Source materials, equipment, and services meeting budgets and specs.
• Obtain bids, negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Coordinate deliveries to job sites and fabrication shops.
• Maintain accurate master data for POs and vendors.
