Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. is seeking a Steel Mill Laborer in Middletown, OH. You will apply refractory materials in a steel mill environment, mix materials, and maintain tools and equipment. The role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in extreme temperatures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; must read/write English.
• Knowledge: prior steelmaking or related experience preferred but not required; mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic experience preferred.
• Skills: communication, interpersonal, adaptability, safety awareness, customer and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Apply refractory materials using specialized equipment to line and repair furnaces, ladles, and high temp equipment.
• Mix materials and maintain equipment and tools.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to work in extreme temperatures.
• Operate equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain equipment with clean appearance and safety gear.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain customer focus.
