Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a Steel Mill Final Inspection Finishing Crew Member III in North Jackson, OH. The role requires ensuring bars meet customer specifications for length, width, diameter, and surface finish, with attention to quality workmanship and proper documentation.

The position includes day or night shifts, with occasional weekends/OT. It requires prior inspection experience, tow motor and crane operation, and reliable transportation to the North Jackson

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior inspection/QC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand production documents.

Responsabilités

• Records data on the Final Dimensional Report Form and labels bundles with weights.

Finishing Crew Member III Final Inspection

Wage Range:$21.75 to $22.75 after probationary period ends.

Day shift: 7am to 5pm / Monday - Friday (Occasional weekends/Holiday/OT is possible)

Night shift:9 pm to 7am / Sunday-Thursday (Occasional weekends/Holiday/OT is possible)

Prior inspection/QC experience

Tow motor and crane experience

Must have reliable transportation

Duties

• Verifies all bars in order comply with customer requirements for length, diameter (or widths), and surface finish
• Visually inspects bars for compliance with Quality Workmanship Standards. QS-038
• Properly marks individual identification on each bar
• Properly records all information on the Final Dimensional Report Form
• Bundles bars per requirements on traveler and Work Instructions. Identifies bundles and bundle weights on Final Dimensional Report form
• Tools/equipment used: Pi tape, measuring tape, micrometers, profilometer, banding equipment and supplies, Niton gun, marking equipment including Hilti gun and Pannier Dot Peen marker, labels, rust inhibitor, paint, paint marker, scale, no-touch tools, crane, tow motor
• Ability to read and understand various documents related to the production process
• Ability to accurately record data in both manual and computer formats.
• Compliance with product flow and storage of material
• Compliance with established sequence priorities for material
• In compliance with all applicable work instructions, check sheets, and/or travelers
• Record all data completely and legibly
• Follow equipment operating parameters
• Ensure the next shift is set up to run efficiently
• Ensure personal compliance with safety policies and rules, including PPE requirements

Education:

• High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Remote Crane: 1 year (Required)
• Forklift: 1 year (Required)
• Night Shift or Day Shift (Required)
